Holy SnowBalls Batman...Seattle is STUCK!!!!!

Well...December 17th 2008...snowfall has hit Seattle. Over the last couple of days, there have been two separate storms that have hit Metro Seattle leaving mounds of snow and even gusts of wind in their wake. Even the mere threat of the storm caused the Seattle public schools to shut down operations...a day too early, it was what I called... Snow Day no Snow. Prior to the 'No Snow' Snow day, Seattle schools were operating on a 2 hour delay... This caused severe annoyance in parents, primarily me because some of the daycare's, following the rules of the Seattle Schools...operated on that same 2 hour delay. I wish employers operated on the same schedule as the schools and daycare's...

This is just AT HOME!!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
At any rate, the children's vacation started a little early and they're or definitely going to have a white Christmas...no dreaming necessary.
Anyway, the pictures you see are from the first storm on Wednesday the 17th...

They represent my bravery... I HATE driving in the snow, but I got out there, put my chains on and set out work!!!! I even picked up passengers...

These are the roads in the 'hood'...The sand man didn't make it to the hood :(

Now this picture below is from Thursday December 18th... I get to work and the sun is out. Remember Arsenio Hall, how he used to have questions to make you go 'hmmm'..Well I have a question for you... Why does the sun AWLAYS come out the day after it snows????

So... The weather man says, there will be an additional snow storm hitting Metro Seattle (I keep saying Metro Seattle because the snow usually falls in Pierce and Kitsap Counties, usually by-passing the Seattle Area).

Well, the man was actually right. On Saturday (yesterday), I'm sitting at the mall and well...It begins snowing. This doesn't make me happy folks, not one bit! I pack everyone up and head back to the car and well....EVERYONE is trying to leave the mall AT THE SAME TIME. Consider courtesy out the window. I sat in the Mall parking lot for almost an hour before getting out. Makes me wish I had a Hummer, because I'd have definitely gotten out that Mall sooner...they'd have been missing shrubbery :)...
So here are pics from Snowfall #2

I'm driving home and decided to STEP OUT THE CAR in order to take the first pic... The second picture is from the parking lot @ the bank. SEE ALL THE SNOW FALLING!!!

The final picture is from my porch... There was..no excuse me, there IS so much snow that you can't see the the difference between the sidewalks or the parking lot. And it's so cold, that the light posts have icecicles forming on them!
Well, that's all for now folks.. Christmas tree decorating & the kids playingi n the snow is next :)
