Backyard Snow Chaos!!!!!

OMG!! Not just my kids are crazy but apparently me and my neighbors are too...
So, old folks against the young folks...how long did I hang???? 18 minutes...I got tagged a few times and I was done, out of breath and cracking up!

So all the kids were layered up but I think Ky was the ONLY one with gloves on (go figure). Jamere and my nephew had shorts on?????

My neighbor Wilma attacked the kids, then they all went after her. Her daughters tried to help and then MORE boys came out and joined the attack against the girls... James and Jarel joined in and instead of snow, they're throwing ICE at people (ignoring my screaming in the background). Ky's running around collecting IceCicles and wait - I can't forget the snow angels... my little devils:)

There's slipping and sliding, running and screaming, laughter and luckily no tears - except from me when Jarel said he was going to eat me...and the little butt monkey REALLY bit me....

Anyway - enjoy and laugh!!! cuz who knows when I'll be in this good of a mood again :) blogging - go figure!!!
See ya later!!!! Kids, say bye!

And then, when they get in the house and warmed up...

Oh by the way - hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas cards!!!!!!

There's A Christmas Tree?? Really?

Don't talk about me, but I think I've only had a Christmas tree maybe 3 times before now. My plan is to buy a pre lit tree but I'd rather find one off season at a decent price (yea, call me cheap) that's full and beautiful. So, this year I bought a quick easy one and let the kids have at it :) And by the way - I don't know what the deal is with Ky's green glove :)

and yes, I let them do candy canes...They get 1 on Christmas day.

It's kind of corny, but they had fun doing it - Jamere however didn't want to be in any of the photo's...I 'accidentally' caught him in a few :)

I had to do 'alternate endings' :) Everyone got to take a picture putting the star on the tree.

Backyard Snow Chaos....coming soon

Holy SnowBalls Batman...Seattle is STUCK!!!!!

Well...December 17th 2008...snowfall has hit Seattle. Over the last couple of days, there have been two separate storms that have hit Metro Seattle leaving mounds of snow and even gusts of wind in their wake. Even the mere threat of the storm caused the Seattle public schools to shut down operations...a day too early, it was what I called... Snow Day no Snow. Prior to the 'No Snow' Snow day, Seattle schools were operating on a 2 hour delay... This caused severe annoyance in parents, primarily me because some of the daycare's, following the rules of the Seattle Schools...operated on that same 2 hour delay. I wish employers operated on the same schedule as the schools and daycare's...

This is just AT HOME!!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
At any rate, the children's vacation started a little early and they're or definitely going to have a white Christmas...no dreaming necessary.
Anyway, the pictures you see are from the first storm on Wednesday the 17th...

They represent my bravery... I HATE driving in the snow, but I got out there, put my chains on and set out work!!!! I even picked up passengers...

These are the roads in the 'hood'...The sand man didn't make it to the hood :(

Now this picture below is from Thursday December 18th... I get to work and the sun is out. Remember Arsenio Hall, how he used to have questions to make you go 'hmmm'..Well I have a question for you... Why does the sun AWLAYS come out the day after it snows????

So... The weather man says, there will be an additional snow storm hitting Metro Seattle (I keep saying Metro Seattle because the snow usually falls in Pierce and Kitsap Counties, usually by-passing the Seattle Area).

Well, the man was actually right. On Saturday (yesterday), I'm sitting at the mall and well...It begins snowing. This doesn't make me happy folks, not one bit! I pack everyone up and head back to the car and well....EVERYONE is trying to leave the mall AT THE SAME TIME. Consider courtesy out the window. I sat in the Mall parking lot for almost an hour before getting out. Makes me wish I had a Hummer, because I'd have definitely gotten out that Mall sooner...they'd have been missing shrubbery :)...
So here are pics from Snowfall #2

I'm driving home and decided to STEP OUT THE CAR in order to take the first pic... The second picture is from the parking lot @ the bank. SEE ALL THE SNOW FALLING!!!

The final picture is from my porch... There was..no excuse me, there IS so much snow that you can't see the the difference between the sidewalks or the parking lot. And it's so cold, that the light posts have icecicles forming on them!
Well, that's all for now folks.. Christmas tree decorating & the kids playingi n the snow is next :)
